Game Theorem's Play4Fun® Entertainment Network is a novel and proprietary, next-generation network service, developed to generate significant and incremental revenue flows for mobile network operators – and to be cash generative and earnings enhancing for mobile network operators from Month 1 – by providing simple, familiar and entertaining content to subscribers.
The Play4Fun® Network can consolidate the provision of current, static entertainment content (downloadable music, ringtones, wallpapers, information services, etc.) within a next generation social networking service. A true multi-channel, network entertainment platform is created by offering Web 2.0 and Mobile Web 2.0 applications within the core social networking platform and integrating that with the services of mobile network operators. Such applications include:
- User Generated Content. By enabling the generation and sharing of content and enhancing it with mobile-specific capabilities, like localisation and context-awareness, mobile network operators can provide a personalised user experience.
- Micro-Blogging. This service offers a form of personal communication using messages of up to 160 characters that are exchanged in real time in a 1-to-N user mapping and are independent of the device and channel.
- Social Surfing. By incorporating social-surfing technology, users can find each other within common areas of any service and can initiate a chat instantaneously based on their shared interests. Social surfing provides the means for direct and instant interaction on specific content and increases the appeal and subsequent consumption.
When the platform is integrated with the mobile network operator’s infrastructure and systems, the Play4Fun® Network provides even greater levels of consumer uptake within a social networking context, the ability for the network to develop and retail other highly profitable next generation services (such as advertising) around that social network, significant economies of scale and management simplicity versus multiple, fragmented suppliers, and a significantly lower risk in commercial operations.
